Reaction: Weird Weather in a Warming World

The world we know of may be coming to an end. People tend to just face the problem face to face but never trying to trace back the problem to the cause. All these devastating, abnormal phenomenons are caused by us, humans! We destroy the environment by polluting the earth. One of the most dangerous phenomenon is the global warming. I don’t care what the article said about that “global warming” may not be caused by humans; the reason is because they’re not tracing the problem back to the cause. Think about the times when factories, cars, air conditioners, and planes..etc weren’t invented yet, was there any record in the history that there was all these weird weathers going on? Personally, I’ve never read about any of these in my history book or any where else. So, having all these weathers happening nowadays gives a clear explanation that “we” are the ones that caused the global warming, not nature itself. The key to stopping this is pretty obvious and fairly easy, we just need to stop thinking for ourselves but rather thinking for everyone.

Movie Report Reaction

This video really taught me a lot that I’ve never known about but always wanted to. I have been interested in weapons since I was small. The reason isn’t because I’m a very brutal person or that I’m a bully, or any other means to cause massive destruction. I was simply attracted and very curious about how these weapons nowadays worked and their complexity. Not until I watched this video did I know that even the most deadly and most complex weapons nowadays are related to inventions 60,000 years ago. All these cool, massive, and unbelievable inventions basically came from a piece of rock and a basic idea of “a new use”. Everything basically came from a small seed which people don’t really pay attention to. Imagine if you’re in a war today and you fight with a piece of rock, the small seed, it’s pretty obvious that this would be committing suicide. But, as time passes on this small seed grows and grows into a huge tree, like a small rock turning into an atom bomb. From this video, I learned that we should never underestimate anything or anyone. You never know when the small seed will grow into a Giant Sequoia.

Reaction to Contents of the Dead Man's Pocket

This is the first story of the book and I  actually have the best the best impression with it. I liked how the story sounds very stimulate and made me wanted to keep reading it. I would say this story is the best one I've read at the moment. The title convinced me someone's going to die but actually no one did but instead there were all these imaginations from the main character that he was going to fall off the bulding from, which also made the story much more exicting. Overall, I believe that the best part of this story would be how it managed to convince the readers that all this event was taken in a pretty long time frame where it turned out all this only happened in eight minutes. This story is just fascinating to read.

Reaction to Two Kinds

I find this story pretty fascinating and with more drama then some of the previous stories. Part of this story reminds me of the time when my mom wanted me to play piano as well. At first i refused then shen said when I get older I'd have to no matter what. As time pass on, i still refused to play and then her attitude would be like Jing Mei's mom, some what alike, but probably a little bit more soft. Also, this story reminded me of how my grades sucked when I was in elementary and middle (grades 4-7) school, and I would tell lies about my grades. When they found out, I'd get busted. Gladly, as i become older I just suddenly realized that I needed some changes, and fair enough, I changed and I was successful. I guess the reason I liked this story was because Jing Mei had a lot of similarity with me when I was still "young".
